Studio Moore

Ok, after warming up to the new year and getting January out of the way we’re ready to start ticking off more house goals and get back to some writing!

So far we have picked up numerous catalogues and narrowed down our stove choice ready for installation in the summer (hopefully!), we survived 2 storms and managed to only loose one roof slate, fix the electric shower to the wall in the main bathroom (yet to plumb & install the glass surround but anyway) and most importantly buy a new telly.

I have managed to pick out numerous items I want from IKEA, finally organise the sunroom into a tidyish playroom for Matthew (sofa pending) and still manage to avoid finally finishing off the utility cupboards…. However, with the plan to strip back the kitchen cupboards and paint them until we can decide what we actually want to do with the kitchen, I really need to get a wiggle on with that one!

It feels like we are finally getting to close off some major projects in the last couple of weeks and seeing the finished look is inspiring us to push forward with new things. And hopefully more decor. I would love to get a huge gallery wall completed in the hall, figure out our wardrobe situation once and for all & tackle the insanely large flower bed I insisted on last year ready for planting again in the next few weeks.

I’m hoping to finish off all the started paint jobs I started last autumn, with the spring weather soon I like to think I’ll be able to strip off the older paint outside and leave things out to dry once I give them a new lease of life. But that could be a few weeks off yet.

I have finally set a reminder on my phone to at least attempt a blog post a week. Even if it’s to chat about current styles; complete disasters or just not getting to stuff we have planned to.
