With the darker and moodier colours becoming more and more popular I thought I’d let you know my favourite ones at the moment! I love a dark muted colour to make a room cosy. Below are the ones I have used myself or absolutely love at the moment.

Smoking Room Green: Fleetwood

We colour drenched our sitting room in this colour, doors & all. We added a dado rail at roughly wall vent height and added their Highline White shade above this. The cosy & relaxing vibes we get in this room are incredible! That with Martin’s new TV, makes this the perfect room to unwind in at the end of everyday or or switch off all the light and make into a cinema room at the weekends.

Mussel: Colourtrend

I knew before we ever bought our home that I wanted this shade somewhere in my home. Whether it was a home office, a built in bookcase or a full room. I managed to convince Martin it was the colour for the sun room. He thought it could be way too dark, but with most of the walls made up of glass it works! I did add the below colour into the arch wall to marry in to the kitchen and give Martin that little bit of lighter tone.

Pepper Pot: Dulux

This colour took me 6 weeks to find. But I do love it. This is our kitchen colour. The kitchen is huge, being open plan with the dinning table and into the sun room. I was nervous to finally pick a colour because it’s such big room. But I love it. So much so we have added it to the main bathroom and colour matched our tiles to it. The perfect grey/beige/ warm with a hint of peach. Definitely worth a tester pot!

Baked Plum: Colourtrend

This colour is everywhere at the moment and I don’t think it is going anywhere. I think this tone is even one of the paint brands colours of year. Whether colour drenched, contrasted with a blush pink or a feature wall to a warm grey this colour is here to stay. A perfect cosy sitting room or luxury bedroom colour.

Warm Sands: Dulux

Another beautiful warm neutral. And while I would consider it a lovely light tone, it could be very dark for some people. This in a kitchen or bathroom or even a bathroom would be absolutely beautiful. The perfect calm and cosy space to relax and unwind!
