This trend has been growing again in popularity for the last number of years. The types of panelling vary in so many styles and in ways to use them. Below are some of my favourites at the moment, a lot of which I would love to do in our house some day

Slatted Wall Panelling
This trend is so sleek. I’m seeing it everywhere at the moment. Whether it’s part of a media wall, as a headboard or even a full wall to hide a door. It’s a very easy way to modernise a space, especially with the below example by using a dark colour to compliment the natural wood.

Victorian Panelling
My personal favourite! And would cover the entire house in it if I had the chance. I love seeing all the different ways people style this trend. I’ve seen examples on cupboard doors, walls, as photo frames and even on archways to help with scuffing. There are so many choices of finishes now too.

Jacobean Grid
I have loved this style since we stayed in the Scotsman hotel in Edinburgh. It is so beautiful and such a good choice for a snug or luxurious office. I love this in a beige or very light neutral tone.

Wainscoting
This is a great option for a busy area of the house cause it will wear a bit harder once finished in satin instead of matte. Places like the hall, stairs or even a headboard are great options for this style.

Shiplap
While I don’t think this is something I would go for in my own house, I love the vintage colonial vibe this style gives. The below example shows how to perfect mash old and new styles together for a relaxing calm space.
